“Avington” – Judi-Ann & Phil Young
Avington is a garden of rooms and intrigue, leading visitors on a journey of discovery; from its formal deciduous trees and hedged plantings spattered with delicate colour, through to a young developing fruit orchard and wicking bed vegetable garden. There is much to glean from Judi and Phil’s gardening journey in a country setting.
“Bethel” – Lois & Richard Roberts
Take the time to ‘stop and smell the roses’! The Bethel garden is one for the rose lovers! Heritage roses and cottage plantings surround the house and lawn areas. Lois has a wealth of knowledge that is worth tapping into for those looking to learn about all things ‘roses’.
“Dogwood Bend” – Sharron & Anthony Colley
Colour kaleidoscope in every sense! Sharron’s rambling cottage garden at Dogwood Bend is set in difficult soil conditions and is a great example of what can be achieved over time with soil improvement and gardening commitment. She employs permaculture techniques to enhance the gardens offerings from a sensory and culinary perspective.
“Condabri” – Kylie & Simon Drury
An exquisite driveway leads visitors through to the Condabri garden. A relatively young garden with expansive lawns, formal plantings and developing shade trees looking out over the property’s grass and farming paddocks. Kylie’s art studio is snuggly nestled within the garden, providing the opportunity to pursue her artistic creativity when time permits.
“Dogwood Retreat” – Kim & Rick Palmer
Dogwood Retreat is proof that with green thumbs, patience and perseverance gardening success can be achieved, despite harsh conditions. Kim and Rick have weaved their magic in only a few short years; with the garden’s glorious heritage roses and hardy perennials packing a punch.
“Sunnyview” – Kylie & Steve Bourne
Grand old girls! Set on the banks of the Dogwood Creek the Sunnyview garden has been shaped and nurtured to encapsulate the exquisite 100 year old jacarandas and original property cottage (now Kylie’s art studio and gallery). Bring along your picnic and rest up under the jacas for a cuppa, chat and art gallery visit! Kylie will have the billy boiling all day!
