Since the 1950s, the Western Downs Regional community of Miles and the smaller towns that surround it come together biannually in September to celebrate everything we value about living in the bush. The festival spans four days with an eclectic mix of authentic and interactive bush experiences.
It is a perfect opportunity for visitors to experience vastly different aspects of life in the bush from 4WD, fishing and farm tours, to galleries, gala balls, tractor pulls, beard appreciation, tough bugger obstacle courses, and live entertainment. You can even visit the homes and backyards of some of our local residents to view their unique collections of vintage and often quirky memorabilia.
From events that reflect our past and our present way of life, to experiencing the natural wonders of our District that enable you to breathe, truly breathe surrounded by our big, big skies and wide open spaces. We have so much to be grateful for, and we're keen to share it with you.
