The unique Possum Park just north of Miles on the Leighhardt Highway is having a special open day for the festival.  This location is normally only available for overnight guests to tour, but on the Friday of the festival all are invited to come along and take a look.

During World War Two, the RAAF Kowguran explosives store was located here at Possum Park and comprised 20 concrete underground bunkers among other buildings.

In 1957, RAAF Kowguran was disbanded and in 1985 the underground bunkers were converted into self-contained accommodation units.
